Cooperator & Friends Workshop

The Age of AI: Forging a Human Path Through Promise and Peril

Sat, Jul 4, 2026 | 10:00am to 2:00pm
Presenter: Scott Heathe

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into daily life, it raises important questions about human expertise, creativity, work and responsibility.

Drawing on recent developments in AI, practical examples, and Catholic teaching on human dignity, this workshop will explore both the opportunities and concerns associated with these technologies.

The discussion will consider how everyone can engage with AI thoughtfully and responsibly, avoiding both undue optimism and undue fear.

These workshops aim to deepen our understanding of Catholic doctrine. Unlike a retreat or recollection, which are intended to be more silent and reflective, a workshop offers an opportunity to engage with other men who are also striving to live their faith well in everyday life. The goal is to build intellectual confidence in understanding and defending the faith, with sessions designed to provide instruction in theology and philosophy applicable to ordinary life.
